Trestle Table for a Nova Scotia Farmhouse

This table was made recently for an island home in Nova Scotia using native, air-dry, red oak. The stretcher is mortised through the verticals and wedged or secured with a loose wedge so it can be dismantled. Both options are shown on the drawings. Pushed against a wall it seats five people comfortably or eight when free standing. A design for the bench is included on this disc.
